There is no single solution to combating climate change. But the responsible approach is to reduce Australia’s carbon emissions while building long-term economic prosperity within a low carbon emission economy.

Intex Holdings’ research is addressing two of the three key outcomes as proposed by the Australian Government Green Paper released in July 2008 by:

• reducing Australia’s greenhouse gas emissions, and

• helping to shape a global solution.

Coal fired power stations remain among the cheapest and most widely used forms of electricity around the world.

Our technology platform can significantly reduce GHG emissions from Coal and Gas fired Powered Stations, and portable Diesel Generators across the country and around the world.

Our first target is to halve carbon dioxide emission from coal fired power plants using a commercially viable and scalable process. If this target is reached, and the technology is then widely implemented, this will have the biggest single step impact on global greenhouse gas emissions in the world at this time. 

The demand for energy in developing nations could thus be met without a corresponding leap in greenhouse emissions, developed nations could substantially reduce greenhouse gas emissions and Australia’s coal mining industry and resource based export economy will be significantly enhanced.
